Thelocal punkt se has provided material for many posts. And, today, as I was looking around the noticeboard in search of an apartment for a friend, I was drawn in by the top emailed headlines of the day.
First article was about Swedish men making the best husbands. Swedish society makes it easy to support men taking a more active role in the home. I remember how surprised I was to see men walking around the city pushing strollers. Not just one man amidst many women, but many men unaccompanied by their partners. The parental leave benefits in Sweden, probably contribute to this. And, according to some researchers, there are health benefits associated with taking paternity leave. Then I was amused by the article about the scary commercial lady; apparently a Facebook group was started about how creepy this commercial is, and it got someone's attention. Newsworthy? I don't know. But, I'm writing about the article about it, so maybe I am only fueling the fire.
And then, more true to form (with respect to previous articles I've posted about thelocal)...headline: defrocked pastor sues Christian dating site. Yeah, you read that correctly.
